Production capacity Always under control!
The “Planning” module is an indispensable tool for planning production processes so that delivery deadlines can be met without overloading existing resources. With this tool, the production manager can allocate the work on each machine while respecting the capacity and workload of each resource.
Production forecasting and scheduling can be carried out automatically during order confirmation, allowing all program users to quickly answer the frequently asked question: “When will my order be ready?”. Using manual modes and Gantt charts, the work plan can then be moved over time or assigned to different machines.
The Planning Module integrated in the ERP is entirely developed and designed by Optima to take into account the specificities of glass production.
By means of sophisticated calculation algorithms, right from the order entry phase, the ERP Enterprise is able to calculate in an extremely precise and reliable way the time required by each process, with discriminating and corrective factors that vary according to the type of material, process, presence of shapes and planned machine.
The management of the production capacity of each single machine, with dedicated calendars for each plant, allows then to allocate in JIT or ASAP mode the time foreseen for each processing in the calendar of each machine with a very reliable estimate of the occupation time of each resource.
