The Optima MES to control the production progress Monitoring Industry 4.0
ERP is not only office business management, but also and above all production monitoring and management with progress of individual steps, emergency management, tracking of working hours, recording of breakages, downtime and more. The Optima ERP software is fully integrated with the GMC-Monitor infrastructure that tracks production progress in an integrated way. Time and quantity tracking processes within the production environment are automated and integrated with the ERP, and the data collected in production is directly available to the office side of the ERP.
GMC-Monitor has been designed to supervise and control the input and output flows of each work center, controlling the production status of the various production phases both in terms of managing the progress of the phases and in terms of historicizing the various operations (traceability). This module makes it possible to manage queues of incoming and outgoing pieces, calculate the processing time of each individual piece, display error messages in the event of previous non-validated processing, declare breakages and so on. Depending on the type of plant or the type of production, it is able to manage different progress modes: production of single pieces where each piece has its own barcode, series production with a single barcode for a set of pieces, mixed production where the two types alternate.
GMC-Monitor has been designed to operate on a touch monitor and can work integrated with fixed or wireless barcode readers, with presence sensors configured to detect the passage of pieces or work in perfect symbiosis with the machine in an Industry 4.0 context. The synergy between Optima and the machine manufacturers has allowed, and will allow in the future, a continuous increase in the number of equipment with which the GMC-Monitor is able to communicate in a bidirectional manner by passing the list of incoming parts to the machine and receiving information from the machine that the work has been completed.
